We offer a selection of garden seeds, live bare-root plants, dried, herbs, soaps, freshly peeled luffa, salves, and other homestead goodies and crafts! The plants and seeds in our shop are grown out here at Kindred Acres Homestead in our permaculture food forest.
Kindred Acres Honey is ready and it's DELICIOUS!! As you know, Kindred Acres uses Permaculture practices. We do not spray pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, or use synthetic fertilizers on our property. We plant abundantly and wildly polyculture with a big mix of plants. The honey definitely shines. Adam with @shugabeefarm owns and tends the hives here at Kindred Acres. If you’d like to purchase some raw honey that came from the hives here at Kindred Acres, here is the link. We are apiary 2.
We offer a very active and very fresh Kindred Acres Garden Tea for local pickup here at Kindred Acres in Clayton NC.
Our compost tea is a complete natural, fertilizer. This tea is brewed using a commercial grade aeration system and checked regularly under a microscope for biological activity. It is a concentrated blend so it can be diluted down to apply to your garden as a root drench or as a foliar spray.
The tea should be applied immediately for best results or stored in a refrigerator for no more then 24 hours before applying so please be prepared to use it right away.
It's super easy to use too!! Simply get a 5 gal bucket of water (non chlorinated) and add the concentrate, mix it, and pour it around the base of your plants or into a sprayer to use as a foliar spray.
We can make special blends for you if you are combating issues, are feeding annuals or perennials, or any other circumstances.

Leah on Jan 16, 20215 out of 5 stars Bren is so good about answering an endless amount of questions. Love the chance to try something that taps into the potential for symbiotic relationships.
RHONDA on Jan 2, 20215 out of 5 stars Wonderful plants with an enormous amount of roots plus she sent extra! These are in great shape, some even with blooms.
beadream3 on Dec 22, 20205 out of 5 stars I am a beginner gardener and decided to try to grow strawberries. After much research, I decided on bare root strawberries. My order was shipped promptly, but due to the current state of our world, I received my package a few days after it was expected. Upon opening the package, I was pleased to find the bare roots still fresh, damp, and separated. The roots were not tangled together. I planted them the following morning and within a few days, I started to see signs of new growth. I contacted Bren a few times with questions. Each time, she responded quickly and offered advice and encouragement! I will definitely buy from her Etsy shop again!
Lauren on May 29, 20205 out of 5 stars This was such a wonderful buy. I wish I had done it years ago. I tried making my own starters twice and used a recipe in America’s Test Kitchen that takes 30 hours to make one load. This starter and recipe were a million times better. I am so impressed. Also great customer service
