Each year, our co-op continues to grow—both in community and in the offerings we’re able to share. We’ve added more options over time and will keep expanding with thoughtful, seasonal goodies for you to enjoy.

  Made-To-Order Kindred Acres Compost Tea Available for local pickup in Clayton, NC!  
Our Kindred Acres Compost Tea is a highly active, all-natural fertilizer brewed with a commercial-grade aeration system. We ensure its quality by regularly checking it under a microscope for biological activity.  This concentrated tea can be diluted for use as a root drench or a foliar spray, making it a versatile and effective solution for your garden.

What’s in it:
• Worm castings
• Black soldier fly castings
• Various composts
• Molded leaf litter
• Composted arborist wood chips
• Some pretty epic biological amendments

How to Use It

Use straight to inoculate a new garden bed or an area needing strong microbial biology.

For general fertilizing:
Dilute 1 gallon of tea in a 5-gallon bucket of water.

Apply as:
• Soil drench
• Foliar spray
• Or both!

Backpack sprayers are great for fruit trees and larger areas, but a simple watering can works just fine too.

Important Info

This tea is best used fresh.

If you can’t apply it the same day:
• Refrigerate for no more than 24–48 hours
• Use the entire container at once

The living biology will shift over time, so it’s not meant for long-term storage.

(Starting at $12 per gallon with a 5 gallon minimum - Bulk Discounts available.  Military/subscribers/co-op members get even MORE savings! $$).  - Once your order is placed, we will contact you to schedule pick up BEFORE we brew your tea.  We will then brew FRESH upon order - Note: it takes 24-48 hours to brew so expect a few days lead time.

Worm Castings: 

Known as "black gold" for good reason, worm castings provide plants with essential nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium.  These castings improve soil structure, water retention, and promote healthier root systems.  They're an all-natural way to give your plants the nourishment they need. 

Worm castings are freshly sifted upon order request .-  Once you place your order we will contact you to schedule pick up.  Please allow 3-5 day lead time.

My order was shipped promptly, but due to the current state of our world, I received my package a few days after it was expected. Upon opening the package, I was pleased to find the bare roots still fresh, damp, and separated. The roots were not tangled together. I planted them the following morning and within a few days, I started to see signs of new growth. I contacted Bren a few times with questions. Each time, she responded quickly and offered advice and encouragement! I will definitely buy from her Etsy shop again!
