We offer a very active and very fresh compost tea. We brew bi-weekly and schedule pickups here at Kindred Acres in Clayton NC.
Our compost tea is a natural, fertilizer. It is made using a 2 part system. First we ferment our specially formulated solution. Then we add fungi inoculants to the mix. Next we add macro-arthropod castings, chitin, and vermicast.. This tea is brewed using a commercial grade bubbler system and checked regularly under a biological microscope for activity. It is a super concentrated blend so it needs to be diulted down then applied to your garden as a root drench or as a foliar spray.
An 8 oz jar makes 24 gallons for general use. or 8 gallons for super strength to be used when mitigating a problem or inoculating a new garden. The calculations are 2 teaspoons per gallon for general use or 2-4 tbsp per gallon for super strength.
Use as a foliar spray and root drench.
The best time to apply is right before or after a heavy rain or watering.
It's super easy to use too!! Simply get a 5 gal bucket of water (non chlorinated) and add the concentrate, mix it, and pour it around the base of your plants or into a sprayer to use as a foliar spray.
If you are combatting an issue like a disease or fugus, or if you are just starting a new garden bed you can add as much as 20 tablespoons per 5 gallon bucket. You would apply every 2 weeks for combating an issue until you see changes, then go to general use.
This brew is best used fresh (within 2 to 4 days of purchase) so we sell them in small jars. The cost is $10 per jar but you get $1 off for each clean jar with lid returned so when you come back for more, bring your used jar back to take advantage of the discount.

beadream3 on Dec 22, 20205 out of 5 stars I am a beginner gardener and decided to try to grow strawberries. After much research, I decided on bare root strawberries. My order was shipped promptly, but due to the current state of our world, I received my package a few days after it was expected. Upon opening the package, I was pleased to find the bare roots still fresh, damp, and separated. The roots were not tangled together. I planted them the following morning and within a few days, I started to see signs of new growth. I contacted Bren a few times with questions. Each time, she responded quickly and offered advice and encouragement! I will definitely buy from her Etsy shop again!
Lauren on May 29, 20205 out of 5 stars This was such a wonderful buy. I wish I had done it years ago. I tried making my own starters twice and used a recipe in America’s Test Kitchen that takes 30 hours to make one load. This starter and recipe were a million times better. I am so impressed. Also great customer service
