More Than a Farm
At Kindred Acres, Hundreds of edible trees, shrubs, herbs, native plants, and beneficial flowers form the foundation of our growing permaculture food forest.
We use no-till methods, biologically complete compost, and natural materials that come from — and return to — the land. No herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, or synthetic fertilizers here. Just thriving soil and the living web beneath our feet doing what nature does best.
Our land is home to medicinal and tea gardens, wildflower meadows for pollinators, a cozy cottage garden around the nut orchard, and annual edible gardens that feed both body and soul. We’ve restored eroded areas, built habitats, and created a peaceful sanctuary not only for us — but for the deer, foxes, beavers, birds, pollinators, and yes, our beloved pet chickens who call this place home.
